SUSTAINABILITY
We care about the future of our planet
We promote the use of fishing gear that minimises environmental impact, catching marine species whose fishing is legal, in a regulated manner, and we apply internationally recognised standards of good practice in sustainable fishing.
We ensure the traceability of the product at all stages before consumption. We strictly comply with all labelling rules to enable the identification of the origin and the different stages of production, guaranteeing food safety and the best management in the supply chain.
We work with suppliers that meet quality and sustainability requirements in line with the values and good practices of the Group’s companies, always seeking strategic alliances in terms of reducing environmental impact.
In our processing plants we have the technology of the digital twin, to model the installation of the cold that supplies the tunnels and freezing chambers. This tool achieves high energy efficiency, being able to predict the consumption that each plant will demand. In addition to contributing to more responsible consumption, it helps to stabilise the entire freezing process, improving the quality of the product.
We contribute to reducing the impact of CO2 emissions in our production centres, with the installation of 1,751 photovoltaic panels that have achieved a reduction in CO2 emissions of 300Tn/year, which is equivalent to planting more than 27,000 trees.
PACKAGING
We are among the first companies in the use of more ecological packaging within our sector, incorporating the maximum amount of recyclable packaging that allows us to continue guaranteeing food safety and the optimal conservation of the product, while maintaining its nutritional and flavour properties.
We have also modified product formats to reduce the weight of the material used and consequently reduce CO2 emissions.
